Registration:-
Principal employer:-
Every establishment in which 5 or more workmen are employed as contract labour has to obtain the Registration certificate (Form II) for the department. On receipt of the RC employer has to issue the Form V to contractors.
Contractor:-
Every contractor who employs or employed 5 or more workmen, in an establishment has to obtain the License (Form VI) from the on receipt of Form V & Joint Undertaking from principal employer  

Maintenance of registers and Records:-
Principal employer shall maintain a register of Contractors (Form 12) in respect of the site.
Contractor has to maintain the following Register:-

Register of Damages & Loss

Register of Fines

Register of Wages (Wage Sheet)

Submission of Returns:-
Principal Employer shall submit the Annual returns in Form XXV to the department on or before 30th January every year.
Contractor shall submit the half yearly returns in Form XXIV to the department for JANUARY to JUNE and JULY to DECEMBER on or before 31st January and 30th of July respectively.
